VANCOUVER, B.C. August 27, 2024 – Segev LLP – a leading business, technology, securities and gaming law firm – is pleased to announce that David McHugh has become a Partner of the firm, effective August 26, 2024. Augmenting the firm’s robust practice, David will serve as the Practice Team Lead for Segev’s Employment, Privacy, and Technology law groups.

David has been an integral member of the Segev team for nearly a decade, distinguished as a highly skilled transactional lawyer with a focus on regulated spaces, technology commercialization, privacy law, employment law, and gaming law. While David serves the needs of businesses of all types, he frequently provides expert guidance to local and international clients, including several First Nations of Canada, in the gaming and technology industries.

Outside of his transactional work, David’s clients rely on his practical guidance for navigating challenging regulatory terrains. His proficiency in analyzing complex, unsettled areas of law makes him a trusted source for legal advice on novel issues.

David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. He is licensed to practice law in British Columbia and Ontario.
