Express Entry Draw #315: September 19, 2024 – Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence

Ottawa, September 19, 2024 – The Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, announced new Ministerial Instructions today regarding the latest round of invitations under Canada’s Express Entry system. The instructions detail the issuance of a significant 4,000 invitations to apply for permanent residency to eligible candidates from the Canadian Experience Class pool.

This latest draw, held on September 19, 2024, saw candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 509 or above receiving invitations. The tie-breaking rule was applied to ensure an orderly process, with the cut-off established on November 6, 2023, at 20:17:35 UTC. This meant that, in cases where multiple candidates had the same score, only those who submitted their profiles before the specified date and time were considered.

The Ministerial Instructions, which guide the selections made under the Express Entry system, delineate the regulations for inviting eligible foreign nationals who have expressed interest in migrating to Canada. According to the official policy, the grouping for this round concentrates on eligible Canadian Experience Class candidates ranked within the first 4,000.

Minister Marc Miller emphasized the importance of such rounds in Canada’s ongoing commitment to attracting skilled workers to contribute to the nation’s economy. “Today’s invitation round demonstrates our continued efforts to welcome individuals who have the experience and skills necessary to thrive in Canada’s workforce,” he stated.

Between September 19 and September 20, 2024, additional invitations may also be issued according to the demand and the ranking of eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool, which has proven to be an effective mechanism for not only addressing labor shortages but also for enhancing Canada’s multicultural fabric.

As Canada continues to adapt its immigration pathways to meet economic and social demands, this latest announcement highlights the government’s proactive stance in streamlining immigration processes and ensuring that those with Canadian work experience have a clear route toward permanent residency.
