Brann, Stitham, Swetnam
Brann, Stitham, Swetnam – Eyes on IP

Bunches of new soft IP blogs have sprung up.  I’ve been adding them to the Blogroll (for civilian blogs) or the Professional Courtesy roll (for wax-stained wretches) as soon as I see them if they link to me.  It’s a nice collection over there on the left; the only categories you won’t find there are LexBlogs and other proprietary networks, which don’t link to blogs everyone else reads, and LawProf blogs, which don’t link to (hardly) anyone who actually makes the law they talk to each other about.  Fine.  Always with the bitter.

Anyway, here’s some of what’s new and interesting, and how they describe themselves:

  • Eyes on IP:  “A bird’s eye view of the wide world of intellectual property … with an eye to how intellectual property matters to business.” From lawyers at Brann & Isaacson whose opinions stated, of course, are utterly their own.
  • Peter Groves
    Peter Groves – Ipso Juro
  • Ipso Jure:  “News and comment on copyright, trade marks [sic], patents, design law and related matters from the UK and beyond.” By Peter Groves, by Jove!
  • Actual Confusion:  “Actual confusion is a term usually used in trademark litigation, distinguishing “likelihood of confusion” from actual confusion between marks.  Our intention with Actual Confusion is to provide a Puerto Rico based blog about intellectual property, focusing on both Puerto Rico and international IP developments.” Anonymous.  I know — but this is different.
  • David Pardue
David Pardue – Trade Secrets & IP Today

Trade Secrets and IP Today:  “A blog discussing the law and litigation regarding trade secrets, noncompetes, intellectual property and other protections and restraints of trade, especially in Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit.” David Pardue.

And now… my personal favorite among the latest entrants:

  • Brian Haynes – IP Coverage Journal

The IP Coverage Journal:  “A journal of insurance coverage issues affecting intellectual property.” This, everyone actually practicing in this area should bookmark.  From Bryan Haynes.

Anonymous – Actual Confusion

Read real law blogs by real lawyers!  Link to blogs!  And then everyone link everyone back to LIKELIHOOD OF CONFUSION®!  Then back out again!

It’s all good!!!!
